Have fun making music this summer!

ISM presents an opportunity for creative youth to explore and develop new or current interests in music. Student can choose from different classes, ensembles, individual lessons, and week-long camps for all ages, so that they can create their own schedule for their own interests.

Early Childhood Music Camp (0-5 yrs old)

Snacks & Crafts (0-3 yrs old): Inspire your child's love of learning in only five lessons. Blow music bubbles, play parachute and kite games, make yard art from a glue jar. Sing. All these summer camp activities—the music, stories, and crafts—are designed to nurture your child's natural curiosity, one that eventually draws her toward learning new words, new numbers, and new big ideas.

July 28-Aug 1 9:30am-10:30am $125 (0-3 yrs old)

Around the World Through Music (3-5 yrs old): Throw a new party every day. Ride a carousel inside the classroom. Play a balancing game and walk on a web of ropes. Learn colors and sing the Spanish song "De Colores." Do a musical move and freeze.

The Magic of Music for infants and toddlers: The first ISM camp for parents & babies. All the small exchanges between you & your baby in the first year help him feel loved & forms the core of his emotional outlook on life & learning.

Musical Imagination (3-5 yrs old): Imagination is the opening act for learning math. In the midst of pretend play, your child strives for new words when he/she explains what he/she sees & what will happen next.

Adventures in Music (6-11 yrs old)

Adventures in Music is a camp designed to give students an elementary music education in a fun, and motivating environment. This camp will allow students to develop steady beat and create their own musical patterns. Students will use high quality pitched instruments known as Orff instruments (xylophones, metallaphones, and glockenspiels, etc…) designed for children. Students will spend the day creating and rehearsing a short musically driven play which will be performed on the last day of camp. The instructor for Adventures in Music is Ms. Aline Otten. Ms. Otten has had over 15 years experience working with both the Orff and Kodaly teaching methods.

Instrumental Petting Zoo (6-12 yrs old)

Learn the basics of each instrument and decide on a favorite. By the end of the week, be able to play a tune! Students will also learn basic music theory through fun and games. The instruments included are: recorder, clarinet, drums, flute, guitar, percussion, piano, violin, cello, and more!

ISM Prodijam Rock Band Summer Camp

Express yourself through your own music

ISM is proud to announce the start of our brand new summer program known as PRODIJAM. This is your chance to spend your summer writing and performing your own rock songs. We are accepting all drum, piano, guitar, bass, and other players. Meet some great musicians and take home a live recording of your performance. All you need is your instrument and a love for music.

Prodijam will be held on the first and third weeks of August. Prodijam is accepting students ages 10-17, Regardless of musical experience (students will be grouped according to age and experience upon the audition). The auditions will be held during the last two weeks of May. Please see Jeremy at the front desk to schedule your audition.

During the course of the session, all Prodijam students will learn very important team working and leadership skills through group interaction, stage presentation, semi-private classes and musical skills. Students will also develop a unique style to their band and image by creating their own songs, music style as well as their own artwork by designing their album cover, t-shirt and band name.

Prodijam will be held at ISM. ISM does not provide any instruments with the exception of a drum set and a keyboard. Each student is responsible for bringing their instrument with them each day. Remember, that all of your band mates will be depending on you.
